Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the terms and supplies its results. Habersham County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It is kept within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the servers to receive routine technical information about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers aggregate those observations. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the service behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Habersham County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It explains where Habersham County records are held and how to approach the Georgia courts, David C. Wall's clerk office, and PeachCourt. This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is never assembled into a consumer report about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern information entered there. Each partner controls its retention and disclosure choices, so its terms should be reviewed before a query is submitted.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to David C. Wall's clerk office, Georgia court portals, PeachCourt, legal-aid resources, or outside search tools. Once a reader follows an external link, the destination's policy controls. Review it before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, customary safeguards are used for collected data. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, however, and the service cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified report of such collection will be addressed by deleting the information.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning site data may depend on the law where you live. Georgia court-record access is addressed through the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, and court-specific access begins with Uniform Superior Court Rule 21. Those authorities govern public records, not private-site analytics. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available here with an updated effective date, so readers should review it periodically.
